Designing a sustainable future

"Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. "*

Sustainability is our responsibility, which is why Therme Euskirchen is committed to these four core elements under the umbrella of the Josef Wund thermal spa group:

Wellbeing of guests & employees

The well-being of people is at the center of all our efforts.

Integrated further development of the company

We always take into account the impact on the climate, the environment and people.

Active reduction of CO² emissions

We want to be and are already a role model in the areas of energy and climate protection.

Conscious use of water as a resource

We use our central element "water" responsibly and efficiently.

conscious handling of resources

Since the very beginning of Therme Euskirchen, a conscious use of resources has been important to us. For example, our thermal baths were awarded the BUND bat-friendly building award and we have provided a charging station for the electric vehicles of our employees and guests in our parking lot right from the start.

Therme Euskirchen is 100% powered by Ökostorm!

Under the umbrella of the Josef Wund thermal spa group, we have already consciously set sail for a sustainable future in recent years. Extensive investments in energy efficiency have significantly reduced energy consumption. A team of experts is working every day to drive this process forward so that Therme Euskirchen can get ever closer to its goal of climate neutrality.

together for the future

Wund Holding is a signatory to the UN Global Compact. As a subsidiary of Wund Holding GmbH, which is included in the annual Communication on Progress (CoP) to the UN Global Compact, Therme Euskirchen also adheres to the principles of the UN Global Compact.
Regional cooperation is particularly important to Therme Euskirchen:
Employees of Therme Euskirchen actively support the volunteer fire department of the town of Euskirchen during their working hours. This means that employees are released from work at any time for emergencies. In addition, the fire department and police can use the Therme Euskirchen sports pool for training purposes at any time. Therme Euskirchen is also a founding member of the corporate climate protection network.

Police & fire department support

The fire department and police can use the Therme Euskirchen sports pool for training purposes at any time. Discounts are available for the use of the wellness areas at Therme Euskirchen.

Promoting the welfare of the community

Employees of Therme Euskirchen are released at any time for operations by the Euskirchen volunteer fire department. Their emergency clothing is stored in the thermal spa so that colleagues can quickly get to the scene.

Founding member of the corporate climate protection network

The corporate climate protection network: an IHK platform connects companies that want to make an active contribution to keeping our planet liveable for future generations.

Climate neutral shipping DHL GoGreen

All letters and parcels from Therme Euskirchen are sent climate neutrally. DHL GoGreen offsets the emissions caused by shipping by investing in global climate protection projects.

REACHING THE GOAL TOGETHER

New: Twogo app - the mobility platform

Together with you, we would like to make the journey to Therme Euskirchen more sustainable. Twogo is a mobility platform that promotes carpooling by connecting people. The app is free to use and offers you many options, such as searching for rides, advertising a ride request and offering rides.

This is how it works:

  1. Download the Twogo app or use the Twogo website.
  2. Register with your first name, surname and email address.
  3. Confirm your customer account.
  4. Assign yourself to the Josef Wund spa group using the code "WUND" or by using the following link: https://www.twogo.com/web/res/account/create/WUND
  5. You're ready to go, offer rides yourself or take part in them.

By assigning it to the Thermengruppe Josef Wund, the Therme Euskirchen, Thermen & Badewelt Sinsheim and Badeparadies Schwarzwald are automatically displayed as locations. This makes it even easier for you to reach your favorite thermal spa.
